REVA Seminar, 19, 20, 21 July 2010, for middle and highschools teachers...
Dear members and friends of the REVA Network,
To well start the new year 2010 ... we propose you to already plan your next seminar REVA, this summer, on 19, 20 and July 21, 2010, in Bremen, Germany!
This REVA Seminar is organised by the CVA, lSSAT and the Senate Chancellery of Bremen, in cooperation with ZARM - Centre of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity, DLR Bremen, EADS Astrium Bremen and the University of Bremen. It is dedicated to teachers from middle and high schools (collbges and lycées), upcoming teachers at the last level of their studies, and scientific coaches. This seminar will be held in parallel with the 38th COSPAR Scientific Assembly in Bremen, which is the largest scientific convention on space research.
The focal point of this third session will be the public understanding of science and aerospace in general. It is important to induce awareness of the usefulness of Space towards citizens. The programme would thus address, among other aspects like weightlessness and robotics, the impact of space on our day-to-day life ("A day without satellites ? what a chaos!") Furthermore, to encourage exchanges between teachers concerning the transport of space related knowledge, a round table on methods and tools will be included.
