REVA Seminar, 19, 20, 21 July 2010, for middle and highschools teachers...

Dear members and friends of the REVA Network,

To well start the new year 2010 ... we propose you to already plan your next seminar REVA, this summer, on 19, 20 and July 21, 2010, in Bremen, Germany!

This REVA Seminar is organised by the CVA, lSSAT and the Senate Chancellery of Bremen, in cooperation with ZARM - Centre of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity, DLR Bremen, EADS Astrium Bremen and the University of Bremen. It is dedicated to teachers from middle and high schools (collèges and lycées), upcoming teachers at the last level of their studies, and scientific coaches. This seminar will be held in parallel with the 38th COSPAR Scientific Assembly in Bremen, which is the largest scientific convention on space research.

The focal point of this third session will be the public understanding of science and aerospace in general. It is important to induce awareness of the usefulness of Space towards citizens. The programme would thus address, among other aspects like weightlessness and robotics, the impact of space on our day-to-day life ("A day without satellites – what a chaos!") Furthermore, to encourage exchanges between teachers concerning the transport of space related knowledge, a round table on methods and tools will be included.

Have a look to the attached announcement for details. Note the small financial contribution which is requested. The detailed program will be available soon.

Write us for details or to register to contact@issat.com ou sabine.Kledzik@sk.bremen.de. We are at your disposal.

: The 2009 session of this round of seminars for teachers in science subjects, held this summer, 6, 7 and 8 July, Hardthausen-Lampoldshausen, Germany, to the satisfaction its participants. These were, inter alia, examine the tools and methods introduced by the German Agency for Space, DLR, with its School Labs.

You can read about (and download) conferences that have been given through the "files" on the Portal REVA. www.education-cva.eu/en/portail/les_dossiers.htm

REVA The third seminar will take place on 19, 20 and July 21, 2010 in Bremen, Germany and will be held simultaneously with the Congress in 2010 COSPAR (Committee on Space Research).

As an experiment, this third session will focus on an awareness of space transportation and space applications, often unrecognized.
It will be open to a wider public sector and education not only to teachers of science subjects;

The seminar content will build but will include, in addition to sightseeing or cultural events and workshops, three subsets of presentations to:
             - An awareness of space transportation and its evolutions

     * Training of coaches in CVA Intercultural teambuilding

Most's of CVA's  educational programs need professional trainers knowing how to coach students coming from different cultures and languages and bring them to work together with a very short time.

It is envisaged that training in cross cultural entertainment is provided in collaboration with  CVA's partner association "Peoples and Cultures". It would  include a specific stream on intercultural teambuilding.
within the framework of REVA during the same period that the seminar mentioned above so that participants can benefit from awareness training space.

This meeting follows the establishment of a Toulouse School of the space and the suggestion made by his principal and endorsed by the responsible REVA, organize a meeting between the heads of secondary schools in urban space - Ariane to explore ways of cooperation.
