Educational Network of Ariane Cities
CNES is modernizing its presence on the web and offers now a new space for young people.
This new CNES website, a true space-related information portal dedicated to young people, is also a showcase of the educational projects proposed by the "Service Jeunesse et Acteurs de l'Education".

The Lycée Pierre Paul Riquet, located in the town of St. Orens, adjacent to that of Toulouse, is labeled "Lycée de l’Espace” , high school for space.
This project was born from a joint initiative of the Rector of the Academy of Toulouse, and CNES which was quickly associated with the competitive cluster AES (Aeronautic, Space and embedded systems). It also receives support from the Region Midi Pyrenees, companies, research laboratories, training institutions and institutions or associations to disseminate the culture space.
The objective is to improve the education system visibility in the space sector, its applications and opportunities it can offer students.
The mission "educational space" of the school is divided into five areas:
Ø practices and use of educational resources related to this sector,
Ø ensure dissemination and training and jobs for young people and families
Ø European and international openness in particular through REVA
Ø Dissemination of Culture Space
Ø Integration of networks for training for space jobs
Bilateral agreements between the space sector players and high school are being signed. A charter binding on all partners and defining the specifications of the school space is being developed.
CNES invites students to experiment in microgravity during the parabolic flight campaign aboard the Airbus 300 Zero-G (Bordeaux Merignac, 10-12 March 2009).
A call for students is to return to the CNES before 24 October 2008.
